喂喂喂，今晚又有咩好介紹? 當然有啦，即刻跟住黎啦!! 旺角第二站有雀鳥花園，提供一個好去處比大家好好輕鬆。

Bird Garden is located at Yuen Po Street in Yau Tsim Mong district. It is a Chinese architecture theme garden , near the Mong Kok Stadium and Flower Market Road, and covers an area of about 3,000 square meters. It is not surprisingly that many bird lovers bring along with their lovely pet to engage with friends.

雀鳥花園位於園圃街的油尖旺區，是中國建築的主題花園，附近是旺角大球場及花墟道，佔地約3000平方米。許多愛鳥人士會帶同他們的可愛的寵物來與他們的朋友好好聚會一下。

History of Bird Garden 雀鳥花園歷史

The construction of Bird Garden was to coordinate with the Land Development Corporation (the existing Hong Kong Urban Renewal Authority) regarding the redevelopment project of “Argyle Street/Shanghai Street” in Yau Tsim Mong district. The Recreation Street, also known as “Bird Street”, was a part of the redevelopment project and inevitable from demolishment.

雀鳥花園的興建，主要是為了配合當時的土地發展公司「亞皆老街/上海街重建計劃」。康樂街，也被稱為“雀仔街”，是重建計劃的和不可避免的一部分。

 It was famous for the sale of different variety of birds and attracted many locals and visitors to come. There were many bird stalls which formed a small community for bird lovers.  To preserve the old character and style of “Bird Street”, the bird garden was built and now 70 bird stalls are operating there.

這是一個著名銷售不同品種的鳥類的地方，會吸引許多當地人和遊客前來。那裡有許多攤位，形成一個小社區給鳥兒愛好者。為了保留「雀仔街」的特色和風貌，故在園圃街興建這個雀鳥花園。花園內除休憩設施外，並設有70個雀鳥檔位給「雀仔街」的販商繼續經營。

 

The construction began from March 1996 and completed on 13 December 1997 and costs HK$ 2,900 million. 

雀鳥花園由土地發展公司（現時的香港市區重建局）耗資2,900萬港元興建，建築工程由1996年3月開始，在1997年12月13日落成開幕。

Features of Bird Garden雀鳥花園的特色

It is a Chinese-style themed garden featuring traditional archway characteristic, as well as granite floors. Moreover, there are many carvings made up of jade displaying 200 different kinds of bird gestures and other mosaic murals that add aesthetic elements to the garden.

雀鳥花園是中國式主題花園，其設計強調中國「牌樓」的特色。雀鳥花園的建築特色，包括花崗石地板、在日光照射下閃閃生輝的竹形琉璃瓦屋頂，以及花園旁雕刻了不同雀鳥形態的二百多塊青白玉石等。而最特別的要算是近界限街一邊的入口處，裝嵌了一幅雕工精細的百鳥圖。
