Yau Ma Tei Theatre ("Yaumati Theatre") was built in 1930 and ceased operation in July 1998. At the same year, it's classified as "Grade II Historic Building" by the Antiquities Advisory Board because it is the only remaining building of pre-World War II theater in Kowloon.
油麻地戲院始建於1930年，但在1998年7月停止運作。在同一年，古物諮詢委員會把它分為”二級歷史建築“，因為它是二次世界大戰前在九龍區僅存的戰區建築。
Besides, it is one of the largest theatre in Kowloon and located at the junction of Waterloo Road and Reclamation Street in Yau Ma Tei. In 2011, it becomes a venue for the purpose of preserving and promoting Cantonese opera.
此外，它是位於九龍和窩打老道與新填地街油麻地的交界處中一個最大的劇院。在2011年，更成為一個促進粵劇的主要場地。

The theatre contains a 300-seat auditorium, stage and multi-function rooms 1&2 (suitable for opera activities such as practices and workshop), changing rooms and an orchestra pit, with the Red Brick Building acting as a supporting facility.
劇場內一共包含了300個座位的禮堂，一個大舞台和兩個多功能廳(適合戲曲活動，如進行練習和工作坊)。而這裡也設有更衣室和樂團，都是用紅磚屋當輔助設備之用。

Red Brick Building was built in 1895 and ceased operation in 1911. It was used to be the Engineer’s Office for the old Water Pumping Station on Shanghai Street. Red Brick Building is the oldest surviving building of a water pumping station under the Hong Kong Water Supplies Department and classified as a Grade 1 historic building by the Antiquities Advisory Board in 2000.
紅磚屋建於1895年，並於1911年停止運作。它曾經是九龍主要抽水站的工程師辦公室，建立在上海街舊抽水站。紅磚屋是現存最古老的抽水站建築物，並在2000年被古物諮詢委員會於歸類為1級歷史建築。
Architecture Style

The architecture style is all about utilitarian design with British industrial building typology. The walls are of red engineering brick and the roof and floor of timber construction. The whole building is almost lack of classic decoration but only a few decorative brickwork. Red Brick Building is a significant witness of the oldest surviving waterworks building and also a good example of Hong Kong’s industrial heritage in the late Victorian era.
其建築風格主要講求實用設計，而且是採用了英國的工業建築類型學設計。牆壁是紅色的工程磚，而屋頂和地板是用木結構建築的。整個建築幾乎沒有任何裝飾，只有少數的裝飾砌磚。紅磚建築是現存最古老的水廠建設的顯著見證，也是維多利亞時代香港工業界遺產中後期一個很好的例子。
Some special features include the red brick façade, cast iron rainwater pipes, cast iron hopper heads, arched verandahs and granite coping stones, skew corbels, and pad stones to gable.
